Bay Area Eye Institute employs state-of-the-art technology for analyzing the cornea and calculating intraocular lenses used in cataract surgery. Dr. Berger utilizes advanced surgical techniques and technology for cataract surgery (small incision, no injection, no suture), cornea transplant (penetrating keratoplasty and minimal suture rapid rehabilitation DSAEK) and pterygium surgery (amniotic membrane transplant and mitomycin). He also offers astigmatic and presbyopic correcting intraocular lenses (Tecnis^® and Crystalens^©), which can eliminate the need for glasses following cataract surgery.
