Mahdi Hedayat, OD

Dr. Hedayat received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Washington in Seattle. Soon after graduation, he relocated to Fort Lauderdale to continue his education. Dr. Hedayat completed another bachelor’s degree in Vision Science and his Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University. His post-graduate training consisted of an externship at the Miami VA Medical Center and a residency in Ocular Disease and Primary Care at the Albuquerque VA Medical Center in New Mexico. Prior to moving back to Tampa, Dr. Hedayat gained additional experience caring for children by holding a pediatric clinical position in Tucson, AZ. Today, Dr. Hedayat has a busy clinic at Visionworks in the Brandon Mall, where he is equipped to diagnose and manage a variety of ocular medical conditions. Dr. Hedayat is also seeing post-operative patients in our Brandon clinic.
