  I am a 61 year old Irish woman who lived in New York in the 1980’s and 90’s, now back living in Ireland since 1997. Dr. Lewenstein was my Doctor and delivered my first son in Mount Sinai Hospital in August,1996. To this day I talk about how kind he was to me as my first pregnancy was a miscarriage so I was extremely nervous during my second pregnancy. I would ring Dr Lewenstein’.s office on Park Avenue constantly when I was worried I didn’t feel any movement etc and Dr. Lewenstein would tell me to come to his office on my work lunch hour and he would check to put my mind at rest that everything was OK. He was professional, kind, patient, funny and always put my mind at ease. He would say “Rita…you need to just go home, have some milk and cookies and that baby will start jumping”….I’m sure Dr. Lewenstein may never read this email but I can tell you I have never forgotten his kindness and would like to say a big thank you to him.
