Jose Perez, MD, PhD

Dr. Jose Perez was born in the Canary Islands (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain). He grew up in Madrid, Spain and in 1989 he moved to Pasadena, California. He received his Bachelor of Science degree with Honors (Biology) from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). After that, he completed his M.D. and Ph.D. (Physiology and Biophysics) degrees at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Bronx, New York) and his Ophthalmology residency at the Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center.

After completing his training, Dr. Perez practiced Ophthalmology in Pennsylvania and then made his way to the Sunshine State.
