Joah F. Aliancy, MD, earned his undergraduate degree with honors in chemistry from the University of South Florida and his medical degree from the Florida State University College of Medicine, where he finished among the top of his class and earned induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Aliancy completed an ophthalmology residency at Columbia University’s Harkness Eye Institute in New York and a glaucoma fellowship at the world-renowned University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center in Ann Arbor. Dr. Aliancy also completed an ocular pathology fellowship at the University of Utah’s Moran Eye Center in Salt Lake City. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association and American Glaucoma Society.
