Chad Hummel, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in cataract and refractive surgery. He earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies as part of the Medical Scholars Program at the University of Delaware in Newark. He earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Dr. Hummel completed a transitional year internship at Christiana Care Health System in Newark, an ophthalmology residency at the University of Florida in Jacksonville and a refractive/cataract/cornea fellowship at The Eye Institute of West Florida in Largo. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Refractive and Cataract Surgery.
