William J. Mallon, MD, is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. After receiving his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University, he earned his medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, graduating as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Dr. Mallon served his internship at Methodist Hospital in Memphis and completed his residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, followed by a fellowship in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery in Memphis. He is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and is a past board president of the Florida Society of Ophthalmology.
