Stuart J. Shafer, MD

Stuart J. Shafer, MD, is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Shafer began his education at University of Florida College of Agriculture’s Department of Food Science & Human Nutrition in Gainesville, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in its pre-medicine curriculum. He also graduated from an electrodiagnostic technologists program at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Gainesville. Dr. Shafer earned his medical degree from University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he also completed an internal medicine internship. Dr. Shafer then completed a residency in adult neurology at University of Florida Shands Hospital in Gainesville. He is the president of Vero Beach Neurology and Research Institute, and the president and medical director of The MS Center of Vero Beach. Dr. Shafer is also a senior member of the American Academy of Neurology.
