Stelios Rekkas, MD, FACS, FASMBS, a graduate of Manatee High School, earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Florida and received his medical degree from Florida State University College of Medicine. He completed a general surgery residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center and a fellowship in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at Jackson South Medical Center/Baptist Hospital in Miami.
