Richard J. Hanel, MSN, ARNP, has worked in health care for 34 years. He started in 1987 as a medic in the Army and served 16 years on a forward advanced surgical team. He earned his initial nursing degree in 1994 and worked as an operating room nurse and first assistant in surgery. Richard returned to school at George Washington University in Washington, DC, and earned a master’s degree in nursing with honors and an advanced practice nursing degree with a focus on adult health care. He opened Focused Men’s Health in 2019 to bring men’s health promotion to the St. Augustine area.
