Michael A. Zimmer, MD, MACP, is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a master of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Zimmer completed his undergraduate studies at Temple University in Philadelphia, graduating summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and then continued studies in general surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark. Dr. Zimmer did postgraduate training in internal medicine at Morristown Memorial Hospital, a Columbia University affiliate in New Jersey. He is a clinical assistant professor of medicine at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa. He served as president of the Florida chapter of the American College of Physicians, and was elected to mastership and fellowship. He serves on the Florida delegation to the American Medical Association and is a member of the Pinellas County Medical Society.
