John Carey, MD

John Carey, MD, is board-certified in anesthesiology and pain management and specializes in interventional spine pain management, the application of neuromodulation and advanced implant therapies in the field of interventional pain management. He earned his bachelor’s degree in cellular and molecular biology with honors from the University of Michigan and his master’s degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Michigan. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Tulane University in New Orleans in 1990 and completed a pain management fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville in 1996. He also serves as an educational speaker and clinical instructor of implantation workshops for Medtronic, a leading manufacturer of spinal cord stimulators.
