Jaya B. Kumar, MD, FASRS, is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a fellow of the American Society of Retina Specialists. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree with honors and a Doctor of Medicine degree at Saint Louis University in Missouri. She remained at SLU for an internship in internal medicine, then completed an ophthalmology residency at Duke University in North Carolina. Dr. Kumar went on to complete a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. Dr. Kumar is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Retina Specialists, Women in Ophthalmology and Women in Retina.
Dr. Jaya Kumar is available for Patients at the Florida Retina Institute Locations in Lake Mary, Lady Lake, Orlando, Daytona Beach and Orange City.
