Dominick A. Benedetto, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist and surgeon who has been in private practice for more than 35 years. Dr. Benedetto received his bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University in New Jersey. He earned a master’s degree in immunology/medical microbiology and his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine. He served as an intern in internal medicine at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC, and as a resident surgeon at the renowned Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, where he remained on staff as an associate attending surgeon in cataract and primary eye care service for 12 years following his residency.
