Derek Mittleider, MD, FSIR, RPVI, earned his medical degree at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed an internship and residency at Maine Medical Center in Portland and a fellowship in interventional radiology at the Miami Cardiac and Vascular Institute. A registered physician in vascular interpretation, Dr. Mittleider is a fellow of the Society of Interventional Radiology. He also sits on the society’s board of directors and is a member of nine society committees and workgroups, including chair of the Peripheral Arterial Disease Champions Task Force. He has given more than 50 invited presentations at national and international conferences and published extensively on the treatment of vascular disease.
