
Anette Nieves, MD, is a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, Medical Sciences Campus. She completed internships at San Juan City Hospital and her residency in neurology at what is now the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey, where she was the chief resident. Dr. Nieves received her two-year fellowship training in movement disorders at the University of Toronto in one of the largest movement disorders center in North America. She then returned to Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School as an assistant professor of neurology, where she taught residents and medical students, did medical research and created and directed the deep brain stimulation program for movement disorders. Dr. Nieves practices at Neurology Specialists of Central Florida in Ocala.
