Dr. Gordon told Virginia she was a good candidate for DRX9000 non-surgical spinal decompression treatment.

“Unfortunately, many people are pushed into the direction of back surgery when it may not be necessary,” cautions Dr. Gordon. “One recent article reported a fifty-three percent satisfaction rate among people who had been through back surgery. That’s not much better than flipping a coin.
“By contrast, the DRX9000 has a great track record. Most of the statistics that we are getting from doctors in this area show a patient satisfaction rate of between eighty-five and ninety-two percent. That’s a much higher satisfaction rate than invasive surgery.”
Each decompression treatment is followed by cold therapy with electrical muscle stimulation to restore proper muscle tone, decrease inflammation, and maximize the effects of the treatment. “Virginia had only found limited relief from previous treatments before she came to us,” reminds the doctor. “She was really limited in her ability to walk and sit, and had significant restrictions in her ability to perform many of her daily activities. After Virginia completed her decompression treatment, her ability to walk and sit has returned to normal. She has responded very well. “I really wasn’t sure if the decompression treatment would work for me,” Virginia confides. “During the first week of treatments, I was still miserable. I thought, Am I crazy to be doing this? I didn’t think it was helping.”
Fortunately, Dr. Gordon continued to emphasize to Virginia that it would take time to see results, and he counseled her to give the decompression therapy a chance to work.
“I didn’t feel anything, so I didn’t understand how this treatment could make me well,” she continues. “I could feel a tiny pull, but it was so minimal that it was like nothing. But Dr. Gordon explained what the machine does, and he assured me that it takes time.”
Before much longer, Virginia began to feel a change.
“It really worked,” she marvels. “The second week, I started seeing a major difference. I could sit and I could move.
“Afterwards, Dr. Gordon had me complete a four-week plan of physical therapy to help to strengthen and stabilize my lower back. I’m all done with that now, and I’m doing quite well.”
In fact, Virginia is doing so well that she has even gotten comments from others about her improvement.
“I was doing my volunteer work at Florida Fish Memorial and one of the patients there saw me and said, You’re not limping anymore. I explained the whole experience to her, and she said, One of our nurses here could use your doctor’s help. So I gave her Dr. Gordon’s name.”
In fact, Virginia has become a great advocate for the DRX9000.
“I went to my dentist, and he has a bad back, too,” she explains. “I told him he should check this treatment out.”
She is also an advocate for Dr. Gordon himself, adding that she appreciates his candor and diplomatic approach.
“Dr. Gordon doesn’t rush you into anything. He just explains the treatment and then it’s up to you,” she assures. “He’s a very nice man, and always answered all my questions.
“It was a good experience,” Virginia reflects. “It took a while, but it worked, and Dr. Gordon was happy that it worked for me. And, of course, I’m happy too!”
