Allogeneic Stem Cells for Damaged Joints

Dr. Lupo has added another tool to restore, rejuvenate and repair damaged knees, shoulders, hips and spines.
Along with PRP, Dr. Lupo uses allogeneic cord blood stem cells to spur the body’s natural healing process. The delivery is the same as for PRP: The stem cells are injected into the arthritic joint where they work to rejuvenate damaged tissue and relieve pain.
Allogeneic cord blood stem cells can be a powerful boost to PRP therapy or can be performed as a separate treatment .
“This is an alternative for patients who may have moderate to severe degenerative joint changes,” explains Dr. Lupo. “We’re very excited about giving our patients another option in restoring damaged joints.”
